Twenty years later, Reagan's words still sound fresh, and his humor still appeals to all ages. Many of his themes -- political life and the impact of getting older, for instance -- remain timeless. Others, touching on topical issues, include his jokes about the Soviet Union. Those jokes reflect what many consider his greatest accomplishment: ending the Cold War. He would likely consider that a worthwhile legacy -- regardless of who gets the credit.

This collection was born of a desire to showcase the best audio we were able to find, both in private collections and at the National Archives.
